The Windowman was established in 1990 by Geoff Lowe who has a depth of 40 years experience within the double glazing industry.
He completed his Dockyard apprenticeship in 1972 and has spent many years learning the window industry from bench assembly to site fitter, production foreman to workshop manager. He has covered all aspects of manufacturing, installation and management in this industry.
Following a successful spell in sales and marketing for a leading double glazing company, Geoff studied the business closely and identified a gap in the market for a skilled craftsman who had the knowledge and experience to carry out double glazing repairs. How annoying it is to have a misted sealed unit, a broken hinge, a faulty roller and find that the guarantee has expired, or the original company no longer exists and that most other companies are only interested in selling you a new installation.
Many installations are now over 30 years old and beginning to show their age and most companies are not interested in undertaking small repairs due to the economic viability and location of replacement parts.
Whilst the main installation may still be effective, misted units, broken hinges/handles and faulty rollers can be a problem. You don'’t need to hold your head in despair or pay inflated prices. A call to the Windowman will provide a quick response and he will advise you on the most economic repair option available.
From a small beginning The Windowman’'s reputation has grown as satisfied customers have spread the word. Geoff now has a large customer base spread throughout the Medway Towns, North Kent and S E London.
Whilst specialising in double glazing repairs, the Windowman’s extensive knowledge in the industry also covers replacement windows, doors and conservatories.
